Meraki. This is a word that modern Greeks often use to describe what happens when you leave a piece of yourself (your soul, creativity, or love) in your work. When you love doing something, anything, so much that you put something of yourself into it. - Definition.net
My greatest desire is to live a Meraki life. Whether one more moment or 80 more years - I want to leave my all on the court.
A Meraki life describes everything that I aspire to leave on earth. I want my boys, grandchildren, loved ones, great-grandchildren to know that I left earth, having given all of my authentic self.
That said, I believe my work is His work. I lost focus of my purpose for a while. I needed to take a Sabbatical. Spend hours reconnecting, while also pouring everything into the people that He blessed me with on earth. That's how I got here.
Now, I only have another hour before my sweet boy wakes up. I have done my daily chores. So in that hour, I will sit by the window with sparkling water with lemon and ice. I will read and think.
When he wakes up, we will put on our walking shoes. Meet my big boy outside. They will have a snack. Neiko and I will talk about the day. Noah will tell a story as well. We will do Neiko's homework and then head outdoors. It's hot - so the pool most likely. Mike should get in from the airport around 6:30 pm ET. I cannot wait to see him.
